5 Best Day Trips from Melbourne You Can Visit Right Now

With Restrictions easing in Victoria as of 1st of June, we now have the opportunity to explore what this stunning state has to offer. Starting off with my favourite places who are reopening their doors  Here I have my 5 best day trips from Melbourne just in time for the weekend

Woodend

High St, Woodend

This one is a family favourite located just a 45-minute drive from Melbourne CBD this gorgeous town provides the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the CBD. When you arrive on the main street with the clock tower in the middle, park the car and explore the shops!  So why is this town a family favourite?

Because of the  Award Winning Bourkies Bakehouse located on the corner of High Street and Forest Street. Featuring fresh bread, pies, cakes and slices it is the perfect place so for lunch and their Vanilla Slice is to die for!  Along the main street, you also find boutique shops and the local Holgate Brewery where you can stop for a drink and a meal. They also have a farmers market on the first Saturday of every month.
